Where do I find “Developer options” if the item is missing?

Settings → “About phone” → tap “Build number” seven times in a row. You will see “You are now a developer”, and the section will appear in settings.

The section is hidden by default on every skin and appears only after seven taps in a row on the build number. The system shows a countdown and then a message that developer mode is on.

The tricky part is that the build number itself is in different places and has different names. On stock Android — Settings → “About phone” → “Build number”. On Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO the item is called “MIUI version” or “HyperOS version”. On Samsung it is one level deeper: “About phone” → “Software information” → “Build number”. On Huawei and HONOR — “About phone” → “Build number”, sometimes inside a “Version” subsection. On realme, OPPO, vivo and OnePlus — “About phone” → “Version” → “Build number”. On Tecno and Infinix — “About phone” → “Build number”.

Once enabled, the section itself also ends up in different places. On stock Android — Settings → “System” → “Developer options”. On Xiaomi — “Additional settings” → “Developer options”. On Samsung it is added as the last item at the very bottom of the main settings list. On Huawei and HONOR — “System & updates” → “Developer options”. On realme, OPPO and vivo — “Additional settings” → “Developer options”.

A universal way that saves time on any skin: use the search in settings. Type “developer” to find the section itself, type “mock” to go straight to the right item inside it. Search does not depend on where the manufacturer moved the menu in the latest version.

If nothing happens after seven taps, there are usually three reasons. On Samsung the system asks for your PIN or fingerprint before enabling it — a cancelled prompt does not count, and there is no error message. You need to tap exactly on the build number item, not next to it. And finally, on a work phone with corporate management, developer mode may be blocked by the organization's policy — in that case it cannot be enabled without the administrator, and that is not a problem with the app.

The whole path from finding the section to starting spoofing is covered in the main guide.
