How do I change the mode of transport in the middle of a route?

Choose the “Hybrid” tile. Between the points in the “Route points” list a leg row appears, for example “↓ 🚗 Car ▾” — tap it and choose the mode for that leg.

That is how you build a trip like “on foot to the car park — by car to the office — on foot to the entrance”. Each leg is laid along its own roads and travels at its own speed — the one set for that mode, so there is no shared speed slider in hybrid. The trip card and the notification show the mode of the current leg, and the arrival time is calculated from the speeds of all legs.

Removing a point removes its leg too. Choosing a regular mode turns hybrid off. The “Straight line” option is not available in hybrid. More in the breakdown of movement options.
