Do other apps see the speed and direction of movement?
Yes. Along with the coordinates, apps get the speed, bearing, altitude, accuracy and number of satellites — as from real GPS. Steps and sensor data cannot be spoofed.
Speed changes smoothly, with acceleration and braking; the bearing is smoothed as with a real receiver, and at a stop the speed is zero and there is no bearing. The “City GPS accuracy” option adds episodes of poor signal, and “Lose signal in tunnels” pauses updates inside a tunnel.
The step counter, accelerometer and barometer are phone sensors, not location data, and no app spoofs them without root. So fitness apps will not count steps, and services that compare movement with sensors or read the mock source flag will see the spoofing.
