How do I restore places from a backup?

Settings → “Backups” → tap the backup you need and confirm “Yes, restore”. Favorites and history are replaced with the backup's contents, and the current lists are first saved automatically as a “Before restore” backup.

So a mistake is not a problem: if you restored the wrong backup, restore the “Before restore” backup from the same list. The app first downloads a cloud backup — this needs internet.

Restoring does not touch entries locked by your plan. Plan limits and the 1,000-place ceiling apply just as when adding places normally: if the backup has more than your plan allows, the app restores as many as fit and tells you so.

On the website it works the same way: your account → “Backups” → “Restore”. The lists in your account are replaced with the backup, and the phone receives them on sync.
