How do backups of favorites and history work?

The app makes them by itself: a few seconds after any change to the lists, a backup is saved. Separate backups are saved before clearing, before restoring and before replacing the phone's data with data from the cloud — any of these actions can be undone.

Frequent edits do not multiply backups: if the latest automatic backup is less than 15 minutes old, it is updated. Backups are kept by date: the last six, one for each of the last seven days with changes, one for each of four weeks and of six months. Days without changes take up no slots. “Before an action” backups (up to five) and those loaded from a file (up to ten) are kept separately, and automatic backups do not push them out. Identical content is not saved twice.

The list is in Settings → “Backups”: each backup shows its date, reason, the number of places in favorites and history and where it is stored. The section is available on any plan. Step by step — in the guide on backups.
