My routes: how to save a route and run it again
A route you run regularly — the way to work, a test loop, a round of points — does not have to be set up again every time. “Movement simulation” has a “My routes” list: a saved route opens with one tap together with its settings. It is part of the Premium feature; routes are stored on the phone.
Build a route
Open “Movement simulation”, put the points, choose the travel mode, speed, repeat and options — the way you want to run the route next time. Details are in the guide on movement simulation.
Tap “Save to my routes”
The button is in the editor below the route points. The app replies “Route saved to “My routes””. The route gets a name like “Mode · length” and a date.
Open a route from the list
The “My routes” row with the number of saved routes expands the list; the newest routes are at the top. Tapping a route brings its points and settings back into the editor — all that is left is to check it and tap “Start moving”.
Rename a route
A long press on a route's row turns it into a field with the current name. Type your own — up to 120 characters — and confirm with the green check mark or “Done”. An empty or unchanged name is not saved.
Delete one you do not need
The “Delete route” button in the row removes it from the list — and, if the route is in the cloud, from all your devices and the website. Deleting does not affect a trip that is already running.
What is saved with the route
The points with their names and all settings: the travel mode (in “Hybrid” — the mode of each leg), speed, repeat, options, stops and start. The line along the roads itself is not stored — when opened, the route is rebuilt on current roads and traffic, so this needs the internet. The exception is a route from a GPX file: its line is saved and opens as it was.
Routes on all your devices
If you are signed in and have Premium, a saved route goes to the cloud by itself and appears on your other phones with the same account and in your account on the website. On the right of the route row there is an icon: a cloud with a check mark means “In the cloud”, a cloud with an arrow means “Waiting to upload to the cloud”, for example without internet. A new name and a deletion also reach all devices by themselves; if a route was edited in two places, the later change wins.
The route cloud works in app versions newer than 1.2.0. If there are no cloud icons in the list, update the app and check that you are signed in. More in the question about the route cloud.
Routes on the website
Your account on mocklocation.ru has a “Routes” section: cards with the route shape, travel mode, length and date. From there a route can be opened with “Open in Yandex Maps”, saved with “Download GPX”, renamed by clicking the name, and deleted. How it works is explained in the question about routes on the website.
How many routes you can keep
Up to 100 on the phone and up to 100 in the cloud. When you save the hundred and first, the oldest one leaves the list on the phone but stays in the cloud. If the cloud already has 100 routes, a new one stays only on the phone, and the app asks you to delete the ones you no longer need. To keep a route forever or pass it to someone without your account, save it to a file with the “Save GPX” button — details in the guide on GPX.
Without Premium
“My routes” is part of “Movement simulation”, a Premium feature. Without a subscription the editor opens as a showcase, saved routes cannot be opened, and syncing with the cloud stops. Nothing is deleted, neither on the phone nor in the cloud: the list comes back with Premium. On the website such routes are visible, but you cannot open or download them; you can delete them.
