Mock Location settings: appearance, language and backups
Everything you need every minute — spoofing, search, voice input, zoom, location and account — is right on the map. The settings menu holds only what you change rarely: the look, the language, backups and links to system settings. Below is what each section contains, what is free and what Premium unlocks.
Open the settings menu
Tap the gear in the bottom-right corner of the map — it sits opposite the account button on the left. The menu opens as a single panel over the map, and sections switch inside it. Changes apply immediately, there is no “Save” button; to close the menu, tap the cross or “Back”.
Choose the appearance mode
“Appearance” section → “Mode”: “System”, “Light” or “Dark”. In “System” mode the app switches along with the phone. The map follows the theme: in dark mode it is a night map too. The map behind the menu is not blurred, so you see the result right away.
Pick a color theme
In the same place, in the “Theme” block, there are ten themes: Mint, Ocean, Lavender, Sunset, Graphite, Sakura, Forest, Amber, Turquoise and Midnight. Only the colors change, the buttons stay where they are. The dot on a theme's circle is the color of active spoofing: it is chosen so that active spoofing cannot be mistaken for the normal state.
Build your own scheme if the ready-made ones do not fit
“My scheme” is two colors: “Accent” for the interface and “Spoofing” for active spoofing. Tap a color to turn the scheme on, or choose “Custom” and pick the hue and tone. The app builds the light and dark variants itself and adjusts the shades for readable contrast; if the spoofing color is too close to the accent, a warning appears.
Choose the style of the map buttons
The “Map buttons” block: “Solid” — opaque with a shadow, white by day and dark at night; “Theme color” — filled with the color of the selected theme; “Glass” — translucent, with the map showing through. Glass has a “Gradient on button edges” switch: turn it off, and instead of a soft edge there will be an even thin outline.
Change the language if needed
The “Language” section: “System default” or any of the 31 languages manually. The language changes immediately, and the spoofing notification in the shade changes with it. Voice input of addresses stays Russian: the built-in model recognizes only Russian speech.
Check your backups
The “Backups” section is the list of backups of favorites and history that the app makes by itself. Here you can restore a backup, download it to a file or delete it, and at the top there are “From file” and “Delete all” buttons. Details are in the guide on backups.
Look into “About”
This section gathers quick links: “App for mock locations” opens developer options, “Permissions” opens the app's system page (location, notifications, battery), and the website link leads to the guides and support. At the bottom is the installed version number: include it when you contact support.
What is available without Premium
“Language”, “Backups” and “About” work on any plan. “Appearance” is a Premium feature: without a subscription the section opens, an “Available with Premium” banner with a “Get” button is shown at the top, the settings themselves are dimmed, and tapping them explains why they are unavailable. In that case the standard look applies — the light “Mint” theme, even if the system has the dark theme on.
If Premium ends, your chosen theme, mode and button style are not erased: they come back with the subscription.
Why spoofing, search and lock mode are not in the menu
They are actions, not settings, and they stay on the main screen: spoofing starts with a tap on the map, stops with the power button, the map rotates to the direction of travel when you hold the location button, and lock mode turns on when you hold the spoofing button. System permissions and requirements are not handled by the menu either but by the banner at the top of the map — it is more insistent than any menu item and disappears by itself once everything is on. All the buttons of the main screen are covered on the app interface page.
Why there is no satellite map
The map in the app is Yandex MapKit. For third-party apps it provides only “scheme” maps and custom layers, so there are no “Satellite” and “Hybrid” options in the settings: instead of imagery there would be an empty grid. They could only come back with our own imagery layer from a provider licensed for commercial use — there is no such layer yet.
